Wanna get into the festive mood? Well, if you can control your urges just a little longer, there’s good news, VERY good news! Luddite Wines and Genevieve MCC from the Bot River Wine Route will be winging their merry way to Cape Town in December to delight fans of fine wine and good food at three exciting events.
Shining their light for a region known by its credo of “real wine made by real people”, red-wine maestro Niels Verburg and MCC whizz Melissa Nelsen will team up with chef extraordinaire Matt Manning to present three very special food and wine extravaganzas.
These festive dinner events with Luddite and Genevieve MCC take place on December 5, 6 and 14 at Manning’s Chef’s Studio and Grub & Vine Restaurant at 103 Bree Street in Cape Town.
The first two events take place on a Thursday and Friday when an exclusive gathering of just 20 lucky people will be treated to Matt’s dazzling One Ingredient Dinner, an interactive dining experience that showcases a “hero” ingredient over five courses. This time, however, there’s a special festive season twist as Matt will pay homage to the decadent, nostalgic foods traditionally served around the table at this most happy time of year.

For the event on the 14th, it’s Niels’s turn to put on the Santa suit and be joined by wife Penny en “bubbly” Melissa. This time it’s a Grub-‘n-Vine takeover for a joyous five-course feast. An exclusive set menu will be presented, designed to showcase the excellence of the Botriver wines.

The featured wines for all three events will be the latest offerings from Genevieve MCC, the Genevieve 2015 and Genevieve Zero Dosage 2015, as well as Niels’s Saboteur White, Saboteur Red and famous Luddite Shiraz.
