Michael Fridjhon, who writes for Business Day, has won the coveted International Wine Columnist of the Year category at the 2012 Roederer Awards in London sponsored by Champagne Louis Roederer.
The judges of the Roederer Awards announced the winners of all 9 categories at a glittering ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel on Park Lane in London. The presentation was attended by wine writers, journalists, artists, members of the wine trade and publishers from around the world.
Entries in 2012 from international writers were up by a third and the book category was huge, adding to the judges’ already heavy workload!
