France & Switzerland: Our epicurean journey continues!

My journey into wine and our journey into food never end, whether it’s on home turf or abroad. For 11 months of the year we delight in the diverse food and wine offerings of South Africa, but one month of the year is reserved for a food and wine “pilgrimage” overseas. Of course, this “pilgrimage” is much more than just about a discovery and exploration of food and wine in other countries. It’s also about exploring different cultures, different people, different scenery, different experiences.

Although this isn’t a first for either of us, it’s the first time we’ll be touring France together.

From Paris we’ll fly to Geneve in Switzerland from where we’ll take the road to Montreaux, Chillon, the Matterhorn town of Zermatt, Baveno along Lake Maggiore in Italy, St. Moritz, Liechtenstein, Lucerne and Zürich, among others. Again we’ll discover and explore the cuisine, while I will also take in the country’s wines.

Until then, continue on your journey into food and wine … and follow us on Facebook. Cheers!
