If you need a wine that can take you from winter to spring in less time than stowing your Wellington boots, then make sure you have some of the newly released 2012 Durbanville Hills Merlot Rosé chilling in your fridge. The wine’s gorgeous pomegranate hue will add immediate enjoyment to the changing of the seasons.

Known for its versatility, the wine pairs with a variety of dishes – from mezze to salads, seared tuna and chicken dishes as well as berry desserts. This refreshing and light-bodied wine holds raspberry and rose petals on the nose that lead to a fresh palate of summer berries.

The 2012 Durbanville Hills Merlot Rosé is expected to retail for about R39 a bottle.
